Dentures in West Bromwich
New full and partial dentures, repairs and relines at our West Bromwich practice.
We provide private dentures at Medical-Dent on High Street in West Bromwich. You can arrange an assessment for a new denture, a repair, relining or adding a tooth to an existing denture.
Types of dentures we make
- Complete acrylic dentures replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
- Partial acrylic dentures replace missing teeth when some natural teeth remain.
- Metal partial dentures use a metal framework with replacement teeth.
- Flexible partial dentures are available in the Bredent system.
Our metal-framework and flexible dentures are partial dentures only. Your dentist will assess which design is suitable for your mouth.
If teeth are being removed, an immediate or temporary denture may be an option. An immediate denture needs advance planning, and healing may mean later adjustments, relining or replacement.
If you are considering implants, read our guide to implant-retained dentures before discussing suitability with your dentist.
Repairs, relines and adding a tooth
We offer laboratory denture repairs, relining and adding a tooth. The dentist checks your mouth and the denture first: its material, condition and fit affect what is possible.
These services are charged separately and listed with “no guarantee”. Ask what this means for the proposed work and how long you may be without your denture.
What to expect
Treatment starts with a consultation and an agreed plan. Your dentist takes impressions or a digital scan and records your bite. Trial stages depend on the design and allow the proposed teeth and bite to be checked before fitting.
Fitting, adjustments and review follow. The price of a new denture includes the appointments, fittings and adjustments needed to make and fit it. Any preparatory treatment should be set out in your written quote.
Made by a registered laboratory
All dentures at our practice are made by SkyDent Dental Laboratory. The laboratory is registered with the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency), registration number 10503, and is a member of the Dental Laboratories Association (DLA).
Costs
New denture prices are per arch, upper or lower, and are shown in the treatment fee table. See our denture cost and payment guide and full prosthodontic fee list for further details.
Frequently asked questions
Do you make full dentures?
Yes. We make full acrylic dentures for the upper or lower jaw. Metal-framework and flexible dentures are available as partial dentures only.
Can you repair a broken denture?
A laboratory repair may be possible, depending on the material and damage. Bring the denture and any broken pieces to your assessment. Not every denture can be repaired successfully.
How long does a new denture take?
Several appointments are usually needed. The timetable depends on the work involved and any healing after extractions. Your dentist will explain the stages for your treatment plan.
