Dr Kamila Szuberska

Dr Kamila Szuberska is a cosmetic and restorative dentist. Her work is the everyday dentistry that decides whether a tooth lasts: treating decay early, layered composite fillings, bonding, whitening and rebuilding front teeth that have chipped, worn or discoloured. She sees adults and children.

How she works

The starting point is keeping as much of the natural tooth as possible. Where an early lesion can be remineralised rather than drilled, that is what she does. Where a filling is needed, it is placed under magnification with current adhesive materials, so the margin is tight and the tooth is not cut back further than necessary. Deep decay is treated with the aim of keeping the nerve alive, and only moves to root canal treatment when that is genuinely the better option.

For front teeth she offers composite bonding as an alternative to porcelain, closes gaps, corrects shape and colour, and does whitening that is safe for enamel. When a case does call for ceramic, she plans it digitally and works with the practice’s CEREC and lab-made EMAX restorations.

Cases

The three before-and-after cases shown on the homepage are hers, photographed in this surgery: ceramic crowns after decay and discolouration, EMAX veneers on uneven front teeth, and replacement of old metal-based crowns with all-ceramic ones. Each began with a written plan and the published fees.

Practical

Consultations are available in English or Polish. She uses the practice’s digital radiography and diagnostic laser for early caries detection, and spends time on prevention: brushing technique, diet, fluoride and fissure sealants for children.
