Urgent dental care, seven days a week from 10am–9pm. Call to arrange an appointment.
Toothache does not keep office hours. Medical-Dent is open 10am–9pm, Monday to Sunday, at 353 High Street, West Bromwich, B70 9QG.
What counts as urgent
- Severe toothache
- A broken tooth or lost crown
- Swelling or a dental abscess
- A knocked-out or very loose tooth
- Bleeding after an extraction
Call 0121 663 1690. If you cannot get through, try 0771 544 4719. Ask for the first available urgent slot, not a routine check-up. Reception will confirm your appointment; please call before you come.
When to contact NHS 111
If you cannot get an urgent appointment, the practice is closed or you need NHS care, call 111. NHS 111 can advise you on where to get help. Medical-Dent provides private treatment and does not offer appointments through the NHS emergency dental service.
When to go to A&E or call 999
Go to A&E or call 999 if you have:
- a serious facial or jaw injury;
- heavy bleeding from the mouth that does not stop;
- swelling that makes breathing or swallowing difficult;
- an eye that is painful or swollen, or sudden changes in your vision, if you suspect a dental abscess;
- extensive swelling inside your mouth or considerable difficulty opening your mouth, if you suspect an abscess;
- a head or facial injury followed by loss of consciousness, vomiting or double vision.
Do not wait for the practice to open. Do not drive yourself to A&E.

What we can do at your visit
Pain relief, dressings, extractions, abscess incision and temporary crowns are all ordinary work here. A full reconstruction may need a second visit. Your dentist will give you advice to follow after your visit and explain how to get help if your condition gets worse.
