Dr Karolina Maluga

Dr Karolina Maluga is the practice’s oral surgeon and implant surgeon. If a tooth has to come out, or an implant is going in, she is the person doing it.

Implants

She places Ankylos implants, from a single tooth to full-arch All-on-4 and All-on-6 rehabilitation. Where the bone allows it she places the implant at the same visit as the extraction. Where it does not, she rebuilds it first: sinus lift, guided bone regeneration with the patient’s own bone or biomaterial, and soft-tissue grafts around the implant. Every case is planned on a CBCT scan, and guided surgery is used where the position is critical. PRF from the patient’s own blood is used to speed healing.

The crown or bridge on top is designed and fitted by Dr Górska, so implant patients see the surgeon and the prosthodontist as a pair.

Surgery

Surgical and non-surgical extractions, including wisdom teeth and impacted or retained teeth; root-end resection and hemisection; removal of cysts and other lesions with biopsy where needed; frenectomy; periodontal flap and regenerative surgery; and pre-prosthetic surgery to prepare the mouth for dentures. She uses piezosurgery for bone cutting, which spares the soft tissue, and works under the surgical microscope where precision matters.

Practical

Consultations are in English or Polish, and a Polish-speaking nurse is with patients before, during and after surgery. Dr Maluga is registered with the General Dental Council.
