Dr Bogusław Gofroń

Dr Bogusław Gofroń is a specialist orthodontist and treats children, teenagers and adults. He is the only person at Medical-Dent who plans and fits braces, so the orthodontic consultation, the treatment and the reviews are all with him.

What he fits

For children: removable and functional appliances (Twin Block, Bionator, Activator), palatal expanders, and early interceptive treatment to guide jaw growth and correct habits before the permanent teeth are in.

For teenagers and adults: fixed metal braces, ceramic and sapphire aesthetic brackets, Damon self-ligating braces, lingual braces fitted behind the teeth, and clear aligners. Where anchorage is a problem he uses orthodontic mini-implants. Every case ends with retention — fixed or removable retainers — because teeth move back without it.

How he plans

Diagnosis is on cephalometric and OPG x-rays and an intraoral scan rather than impressions, with the end position planned digitally before the first bracket goes on. He takes the complex cases that need it: severe Class II and III malocclusion, relapse after earlier treatment, orthodontics before prosthodontic or implant work, and patients whose gum health has to be managed alongside tooth movement.

Practical

Consultations are in English or Polish, and a Polish-speaking nurse is with patients throughout the visit. Orthodontic fees are published per arch on the fees page. Dr Gofroń is registered with the General Dental Council.
