Dental treatment finance: options and eligibility

Originally published

If you are considering finance for dental treatment, start with an assessment and a written treatment plan. This sets out the proposed care and cost before you decide how to pay.

Medical-Dent acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Once a treatment plan has been agreed, the team can explain the available finance options and how to apply. Approval is a decision for the lender, not a guarantee made at the consultation.

Interest-free and interest-bearing options

Our current finance information lists 0% APR for repayment terms of up to 12 months and 7.9% APR for terms longer than 12 months. This does not mean that the first year of every longer agreement is interest-free.

Finance is available only to UK residents over the age of 18 and is subject to status and affordability checks. A minimum finance amount applies. Ask the team for the current minimum and the options available for your treatment; do not assume that every procedure or applicant qualifies.

Secure Trust Bank PLC may decline an application. Agreeing to a treatment plan is not the same as being approved for credit.

Before applying

Use the current finance page and calculator or request a written quotation. Check the repayment term, APR, monthly payments and total amount payable for the option you are considering. We do not give a general monthly-payment example here because the figures depend on the amount and agreement.

Read the agreement and ask about anything you do not understand before accepting it. You can contact the practice to discuss the treatment estimate and application process.
